Meet Meg

Hi there!  Welcome to the stuffed goose, a website exploring food and all the possibilities it has to offer.

colorsI’m no cook, experienced culinary expert or sous chef.   In fact, I am a mere novice in the kitchen, still throwing noodles at the wall to test if they are ready, and still referencing Cooking For Dummies for very basic answers.  I’m joking….sort of.  The truth is, I’m a lover of good food and fine wine.  I live for time spent with family and friends enjoying a warm bowl of soup on a crisp winter night, grilling out on a sizzling summer day, or kicking back with a cheese plate and a glass of red wine as fall rolls in brighter than ever.  Food is the essence of life, and for me, food is what makes life good.  It’s what makes us laugh, cry, love, sing and hope.  No matter how we feel, where we are, or what we are doing, we can all relate to food.

I went to the University of Virginia and graduated with a major in Foreign Affairs and Media Studies and I can honestly say, I have no idea what I’m going to do with my life.  For now, I am most content after a good hike, a warm bubble bath or an afternoon jog with my older sister Emily.  One thing I do know for sure, however, is that I am bold and adventurous, and ready to let my love for food and travel open my eyes, and yours, to new opportunities, tastes and travels.

Whether it be a hole in the wall on Cville’s Route 29, or a five star restaurant in the city that never sleeps, I’m your girl.  I am open to new ideas, new flavors and new recipes, always the first to take a bite and the last to leave the table.  So join me as I embark on this culinary cruise and borrow recipes, wine & dine, explore new flavors and share our favorite adventures!
